Common Questions and Comments

"What about the kids that are very difficult to communicate with?"
-Sunday

It really just depends on the child and how they may or may not communicate best. Consider the reasons they have challenges and work with the family to meet his needs the best you can. This will help your interactions in these cases.

"Positive guidance doesn't always work, though."
-Pamela

You may be mistaking positive guidance for being a pushover. Positive guidance is really just a concept for supporting and encouraging the desired behaviors that you would like to see more of. There are numerous ways to do this but you have to consider what works best for your group.
