"How will my class relate to the characters of the book if they look different from them?"

Your students will relate to the characters because the characters are kids! Kids typically don't have the same biases that adults have unless they are taught to them. This does happen quite often, but realize that everything in Keats' books are relatable to children.

All ages! Infants through school-age children will gain from being read a variety of books and Ezra Jack Keats books are no different!
